Dr Becker has been my specialist for several years and I have always been able to discuss what is bothering me concerning neurological conditions. He is through and professional and takes the time to listen to the patients. Dr Scott Beckers knowledge is amazing and to me one of his best qualities. His office assistant Jane has been with him since the beginning and knows everything about neurological issues that he knows and has everything he needs prepared in advance of the appointment. She is a great asset to his office.

She’s a great listener, professional and knowledgeable. I never feel hurried or rushed out of the office as I have in the past with other doctors. She’s very thorough as well.

Dr Marsha Smith is VERY thorough. I’ve had several neurologists throughout my life (I’m 62), and Dr Smith is the best one I’ve had! She looks at the entire person, not just their brain. She considers sleep, diet, exercise, stress levels, current medications, medical history, and what her patients tell her. Dr Smith sees her patients as people, not just medical cases!

Dr Smith was so caring and helpful. She took her time with my husband and I, explaining all of the labs, imaging, and test results. She gave us a clear understanding of what is required to help reduce my husband’s stroke risk. She thoroughly discussed his current conditions and helped us form a plan for prevention. I felt peace after meeting with her and we are truly blessed to have her managing my husband’s neurological care.

I’m describing my experience, not evaluating others reaction to what turned out to be my misunderstanding, my confusing the referents of various ‘this’s or ‘that’s (I had lots of questions for clarification. I give ***** to every Riverhills’ staff I interacted with) as my own responses for confirmation or clarification I understood the relevant precision probably had ambiguous ‘this’ or ‘that’ or more than one erroneous item needing correction. Probably only a preprinted handout succinct standard parameters how recent any pre-MRI (or pre-EEG or pre-other) tests need be for that test, and each test for Dr Hayes’ evaluation. My understanding on leaving in the initial give&take Aug24th was the MRI or EEG could be/preferably done as late as Tue Sep26 (Monday acceptable) for 145pm appt Thu Sep28 w/Dr Hayes, i electing to have all tests done at Riverhills, a pre-test for the MRI being setup, I’d be notified. I went up to 4th floor & after while left—my notes illegible—without any pretest or appt discussion. During one phone call eoAug or early Sept I learned I had misunderstood. The Sept26(or 25) for Sept28 appt was latest if everything was that for 28th—if MRI done early AM 28th, earliest it’s pretest could be was 72hrs, preferably 48hrs before the 145pm 28th appt. MRI itself (as the EEG) good for 6mo, the blood test within 48-72 hrs before. A modified blood test good for 6-8wks before which is what I took monday the 11th. I recog my using ‘this’ or ‘that’ or speaking too quickly (as on occasion others w/me) plus illegible notes the fundamental problem—as also the contest between —whether within VA or, HumanaPPO(Oct15-Dec7 thru textmssg delegate TZInsur) w/varieties of later recog textTZAssur (turns out i s/w )‘BCBS/Anthem PPO/HMOs & phone issues, incl unrecog ph#s not being picks up as well as when using csvc #s from back of sponsoring cc or health member card. I use 1st names of staff because I feel i s/w fellow human confirm I got them right or wrong, not to apportion blame. my visual or speaking issues the major cause. Sometimes I catch myself & speak slower.

My experience for this visit was a great experience Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything that my visit entails. She ask me questions to note verbatim what I’m feeling, where I’m hurting, and why I might be hurting (like have you fell, had a change in physical activity. Then she goes over plan on how I can be treated to help ease the pain or temporary stop the pain.

Amanda has the distinct ability to distill the patients' disparate thoughts and emotions surrounding pain management. Personally, I failed a great rapport with her because of her immediate cut-to-the-chase approach to understanding the patient's current cognitive state, capacity for learning, parsing key elements to pain management moving forward, and best of all supporting the patient's natural way of handling the inevitable aging process using a more organic process mechanical/pharmacological remediation. And, of course, I speak for myself. But, I am certain that she has this ability with all of her patients and patience to come.

If I would have got to hand pick my dr I would have picked Dr Michael Schmerler EVERYTIME. I was new to the office and had no idea who I was seeing.

Every visit we discuss the outcomes of various pain management options as well as where my pain threshold has been in the past. It was suggested I would need a procedure in the near future as the next step to determine a cause of the pain. The appt. Is always hopeful, friendly, understanding. Listens well, takes notes and determines what I will need next. Very thorough.

Everything was good from the check in to seeing the nurse and the Dr. Scheduling my next appointments were handled very well. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.

The staff is great all the way around! I’ve been going there for 10 years. Dr. Becker always listens and keeps up with current neurological treatments. He keeps trying until he figures things out for you. The nurses are always caring and helpful.

This is my 3rd doctor for Botox for migraines and all 3 use different techniques for administering. I also do not agree with "all patients must sign in on their phone". This is discrimination towards older people without technology. My mom uses the same doctor and she is 87 without a smartphone.
