Meet David Schmerler, DO

David Schmerler, DO, is a board-certified neurologist, bringing more than a decade of experience in neurology to Riverhills Neuroscience in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Norwood location.

Dr. Schmerler went to college at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduation, he decided to pursue a medical career and enrolled at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic in Iowa, obtaining a Doctor of Osteopathy.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Schmerler completed an internal medicine internship, a neurology residency, and a neurology fellowship in movement disorders at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He excelled in these programs, receiving specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of various neurological disorders.

At Riverhills Neuroscience, Dr. Schmerler has a special interest in movement disorders. He offers various treatments for complex conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremors, and Tourette Syndrome.

Dr. Schmerler holds membership in several professional organizations, including the Movement Disorder Society, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association. He welcomes anyone needing neurology care to Riverhills Neuroscience today.
