Onassis A. Caneris, MD, is an interventional pain management specialist at Riverhills Neuroscience in the Norwood area of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Caneris received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Cincinnati, before completing his fellowship in interventional pain management at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He also served as an anesthesia instructor at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Caneris completed his residency in neurology at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. He specializes in interventional pain management and spine treatment, including discography, radiofrequency lesioning, epidural steroid injections, and nerve blocks.
With extensive experience in pain management, Dr. Caneris is an active member of the American Pain Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Society of Neuroimaging. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
