  1. Keep your loved ones and yourself hydrated with water; do not wait until you are thirsty to get a drink. Make it a habit to keep water with you at all times.
  2. Humid air can make asthma and other health problems worse.
  3. The elderly should avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
  4. Use SPF 30 sunscreen on your loved ones and yourself and wear sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat. Find shade when you can.
  5. Be aware of the signs of heat stroke
    1. Incredibly hot skin
    2. Dizziness or fainting
    3. Extreme fatigue
    4. Nausea, vomiting
    5. Rapid heartbeat
    6. Mental Confusion
    7. Seizures
    8. Lack of sweating
